Recently, Honda reached their prestigious fan ranking on Facebook as the Honda brand Facebook page hit one million fans. Since the launch of the page in August 2009, Honda has read stories, seen pictures and videos of how people love their Hondas.

Honda is paying tribute to its Facebook fans with personal appreciation. As fans are showcasing their love for Honda, Honda employees are going to show their love back. Here are some examples of the love shown:

  • A fan carved a Honda logo into their lawn. Honda carved that fan’s name into their corporate headquarters next to the main entrance.
  • A fan revealed his love for Honda with his Honda logo tattoo. Honda’s vice president of marketing got an airbrushed tattoo of the fan’s name and face.
  • A fan requested a special Honda haircut at his barber. A Honda associate got that fan’s name carved in his hair by some cool barbers.

“We’re honored to have one million Honda brand Facebook fans and we wanted to show our appreciation in a meaningful way,” said Alicia Jones, social media strategist at American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “How many people do you know who would carve someone else’s name into their hair? We’re so fortunate to have amazing and dedicated Honda brand fans. And, that’s the kind of commitment our associates have to our fans. We really do love them back.”
